Praise for Country Club

Just a note to say “thanks” for the great job Country Club does with snow removal. I was out a little while ago finding my buried car, and the plow came by. I thanked the driver personally, and he gave me an updated road report. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow. Also Tim and the others do a super job with the walkways. Ashavini, the med student who lives on the 3rd floor, and I swept off the car and some of the surrounding areas, and I told her how well you all keep up this complex. We all appreciate it. Thanks again!

Happy Thanksgiving- Office closed for the holiday

It’s one week until Thanksgiving! The staff of Country Club Apartments wants to wish everyone a fabulous and safe Thanksgiving. We also want to remind everyone that our office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 27. We will resume normal business hours on Friday, November 28.

Breakfast with Santa

The big man himself will be arriving to the Country Club Apartments community building on Saturday, December 21st at 10:00am. He will be arriving with plenty of goodies for all boys and girls.

He’s checking his list and checking it twice. He’s going to find out who’s been naughty or nice.

All children wishing to participate in the breakfast with Santa must be registered with the rental office by December 18th.

Kids Trick or Treat Night

Thursday, October 24th
6:00 P.M. – ?

How It Works:
The Kids meet in the Community Building for snacks, pictures, and a goody bag. Then we gather the kids to begin Trick or Treating, starting at:
Building 1 [Apt 6001—6047] and ending at Building 9 [Apt 6801-6847]. The schedule will be posted at your building entrance.

  • The children come to the front entrance of all buildings.
  • They do not enter the building.
  • You must be on the outside steps to give away candy.

If you’re not going to be home, please feel free to give your neighbor the candy to pass out. The kids really love this event. We encourage everyone to participate.

Spaghetti Dinner night to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities

Country Club is hosting a Spaghetti Dinner night to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. The benefit will take place Friday, September 20 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Community Building. If you can’t join us at the Community Building but still wish to participate, take-out will be available. Please contact the rental office for more information. We’ve also highlighted the event in our September newsletter.

Tasty Tuesday: Baked Teriyaki Chicken

This is a great recipe to try for a weekend meal, when company is coming over, or even to take to a barbecue.

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 skinless chicken thighs

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the cornstarch, cold water, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and ground black pepper. Let simmer, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens and bubbles.
  2. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  3. Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Brush chicken with the sauce. Turn pieces over, and brush again.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Turn pieces over, and bake for another 30 minutes, until no longer pink and juices run clear. Brush with sauce every 10 minutes during cooking.

Resident Testimonial: Chris and Maggie

“I absolutely love Country Club Apartments in Huntington West Virginia, when I made my move to the area, when I saw the quality of the apartment, the establishment, free amenities and the wonderful staff, my mind was instantly made up to move in. The apartment I have is wonderful, it has two large bedrooms, many closets and storage areas, a very large bathroom, kitchen and dining room, not to mention the very spacious living room.

Never have I ever rented anywhere else that has the value to money that Country Club Apartments has. My kitchen is fully complete with even a private “full size” stackable washer and dryer in my unit. The apartments and the tenants are very quiet and living is very peaceful, all the tenants are very friendly in my building and I have already made new friends, some lawyers, engineers, executives and medical students so far have all been great. The apartment complex provides so many free services it’s amazing, from a car was, yes a car wash on site, pool (with free swimming lessons) to basketball court and a private exercise room.

I feel totally safe in my surroundings and really feel I actually found the best place to rent in Huntington West Virginia. The staff is wonderful and there is never any hesitation to help anyone right as they need any, plus there is a free 24 hour line in case anything needs attention in your apartment at any time. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment complex to any of my friends. I only plan to leave when I buy my own house and let go of renting. Central Air included, I can only hope my house is this nice.”
