Congratulations to the award-winning crew at Country Club Apartments! The community was recognized for the SIXTH YEAR in a row by the Herald Dispatch as the BEST of Cabell County. We are so proud of the team and the residents who make Country Club a great place to call home.
Last week, two of our dynamic managers attended the National Apartment Association Capitol Conference in Washington, D.C. After nearly a year of hard work West Virginia has become an official affiliate of the NAA. We are so proud of the accomplishments of Debby Rose, manager at Country Club and President of the West Virginia Apartment Association. Debby was joined by Andrea O’Meara, manager at Pikeview Apartments and Vice President of the West Virginia Apartment Association
The holiday season is favorite time for the team at Country Club Apartments. One of the traditions we enjoy in December is our “Family Lunch” We break from the busy work day to eat, exchange gifts, laugh, and just have a lot of fun together. Lunch is followed by a White Elephant Exchange which is always entertaining, with wacky gifts that are always surprises. After the game, everyone indulges in sweets from “Kathy’s Treat Tray”. Thanks to Kathy, one of our amazing maintenance men’s wives, we get to chow down on a delicious variety of cookies, fudge, peanut butter balls, chocolate rain clusters, pecan balls, and so much more- yum! We reflect and tell funny stories that have happened to us over the past year. Before everyone gets back to work, we gather together for a “family picture.” Our “Family Lunch” has become one of our greatest holiday traditions.
If you ask our residents what they love most about living at Country Club Apartments many will tell you it’s our wonderful maintenance team! Here at Country Club Apartments our main focus is customer service and making sure our residents are taken care of, which includes apartment maintenance. Our maintenance team’s main priority is to solve any obstacle in a thorough and speedy manner.
Whether it is a clogged drain, burned out lightbulb or a jammed patio door, our team members are on the job within the day. Unlike regular maintenance technicians that require you to take off work and let them in your house, with your permission, our team can make a service call while you carry on with your day. Our technicians bring card to leave at your door after each call. This allows our residents to know when a member has stopped in and explains how they have resolved the concern.
There is also no need to worry about after hours calls. With our 24-hour emergency maintenance we always have a team member on call to help with lock-outs and other urgent service requests.
The holidays are approaching and it’s a great time to share some of our family traditions. Debby Rose, manager at Country Club Apartments, tells us what she looks forward to on Thanksgiving Day.
“Every year on Thanksgiving Day the men get up early to go deer hunting while the women get up just as early to finish baking and cooking all of the food. My mom is a great cook, she makes everything from scratch; meaning it is all homemade. Growing up, my sister and I would have to sit for what seemed like hours, tearing loaves of bread into small pieces and then chopping celery into even smaller pieces. Once we were done with all the tearing and chopping, mom would add all the other ingredients in, mix it up and then stuff it in the turkey. While the turkey was baking, we would watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as we finish making all the side dishes and desserts. My favorite dessert is the Turtle Cake; there’s nothing better than chocolate, caramel and pecans!
Once the hunters make it back, which is usually around 1pm, everyone is ready to eat! The table is set, the food is out and desserts are waiting. But first, my Mom has to get a picture of the two youngest kids with the turkey leg! She says, “Don’t eat it, just pretend like you are eating it.” Once the picture has been taken, it’s time to eat!”
Just a note to say “thanks” for the great job Country Club does with snow removal. I was out a little while ago finding my buried car, and the plow came by. I thanked the driver personally, and he gave me an updated road report. Hopefully I can get out tomorrow. Also Tim and the others do a super job with the walkways. Ashavini, the med student who lives on the 3rd floor, and I swept off the car and some of the surrounding areas, and I told her how well you all keep up this complex. We all appreciate it. Thanks again!
It’s one week until Thanksgiving! The staff of Country Club Apartments wants to wish everyone a fabulous and safe Thanksgiving. We also want to remind everyone that our office will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 27. We will resume normal business hours on Friday, November 28.
Congratulations to Country Club Apartments for being named Best in the Tri-State once again.
From all of us at Country Club Apartments, we wish you and yours a very Happy New Year.
